On the Tenth Anniversary of 9/11

By , September 3, 2011 3:42 pm

The Tenth Anniversary of 9/11 is coming up soon, and before everyone gets sick of hearing about it I thought I’d throw in my two cents. While 3,000 people died due to the attacks, we can look back with a different vision and see the true horrors of what happened. In the end, we might be just as bad as the terrorists who attacked the United States that day. Yes, 3,000 lives were lost that day, but not due to anything more then luck. Meanwhile the most expensive military in the world has been paying it back to countries that could never defend themselves.

The civilian body count in Iraq is anywhere from 200K to nearly a million. Is that a fair retaliation for the deaths of 3,000 people? Not at all. Don’t forget that Bush lied to us to get us to go to War with Iraq. He used all the power he could to influence people to lie for him. Now Bush gets to sit back at his crawford ranch he loves so much, sipping iced tea and relaxing. It should be noted that another 4,000 US soldiers have died in Iraq, while 30K have been injured. There should be thousands of people ready to storm the Crawford Ranch and string up Bush for what he did.

We had a chance too, to stop the Iraq War. One of the largest protests of all time took place before it. But a large amount of people couldn’t think independently of the non-stop patriotism being thrown at them from the TV and Newspapers.

Where were you? Did you not find it suspicious when Haliburton got the no bid contract to rebuild Iraq? Dick Cheney was formerly on their board and got a nice golden parachute when he left to become VP. The whole war was one of the hugest failures in American history. Sure there’s no more Saddam, but the US economy was ruined, we probably created a new generation of Terrorists and it made us no safer then we already were. Saddam didn’t want to attack the United States, and had no ties with Osama Bin Laden. Saddam just wanted to live in luxury and keep control over Iraq, attacking the US wouldn’t help that.

The war in Afghanistan was no better. The country is nearly identical to what it’s been for the last 20 years, except the UN controls the capital city of Kabul with Karzai running a government whose control barely extends beyond the city limits. You see, there’s been a lot of conflicts over the last 20 years in Afghanistan. These are warlords who have survived every conflict because they simply switch sides when things turn against them. One of the strongest warlords in Afghanistan is infamous for this and has switched sides during EVERY conflict.

For all the lipservice to women’s rights, sure women now can leave their houses and speak in public. But what isn’t mentioned is that most areas under control of Warlords are prety much lawless. Sure you can leave your house, but don’t cross the wrong warlord’s men or you’ll end up being raped. And of course since those men are the security forces, good luck getting any justice. But hey, in Kabul there’s some women on the council, so that makes everything better.

In the end how did we find Bin Laden? By illegally entering our “ally” in the war on terror Pakistan territory and finding his compound. So in reality there was never any reason to have a long drawn out war in Afghanistan, as Bin Laden obviously would have went running for the border as soon as the US got close. Which is exactly what ended up happening. So while we were running around in Aghanistan and Iraq largely did nothing, a quick precision strike in Pakistan killed the man who planned 9/11. Shocking.

It should be noted that the recent surge of Democratic revolutions in the Middle East have very little to do with “Spreading Democracy” in the Middle East. It was actually the release of the Wikileaks cables which showed to these people how their corrupt governments were taking advantage of them. Of course I could see why the US government would be working so hard to shut down Wikileaks, only they should be able to cause the fall of governments.

In the end, yes, remember those 3,000 who died. But take the time to reflect on the nearly million lives that have been lost since then in search of justice. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

Yemen

It should surprise no one that after the last “Terrorist Attack” that now people are saying “Why don’t we invade Yemen?” Let me make this simple, we’ll never invade Yemen. On the top of the list of reasons? Its believed that the Yemen oil reserves will run out by 2017. As I’ve mentioned before, Iraq isn’t a real country. After WW1 the British simply drew a map around all the Middle East Oil and you have Iraq. To top it off, they made sure that Iraq wouldn’t have a port because they kept it separate from their colony which became Kuwait.

But its not just about the Oil. Of the 9/11 terrorists, a far majority of them are from Saudi Arabia. There were also two from the United Arab Emirates and one from Egypt. But following 9/11 we didn’t attack Saudi Arabia or UAE. Of course not, Saudi Arabia is one of our best allies. Instead we attacked Afghanistan. Now I agree that Bin Laden was in Afghanistan, but considering the questionable state of the Afghan military, did we really have to invade and take it over? They couldn’t stop us if we simply entered the country to remove Bin Laden. Don’t even get me started on the fact that we had Bin Laden captured but a call from the White House called off the dogs.

But what really matters is central asia oil. You may not have heard of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan or Turkmenistan, but they are sitting on the worlds largest supply of untapped oil. The problem is running a pipeline to the Indian ocean. One look at a map shows running south from Kazakhstan that if you can’t go through Iran (We can’t) the next best route that doesn’t involve 13 countries is Afghanistan. To top it off the man we made Prime Minister is a former UNOCOAL Consultant.

But you ask, what about the terrorist training camps? In reality the “terrorist training camps” were actually military training camps for the continued Afghan civil war. Although pushed back to the brink of Elimination, the Northern Alliance was continuing the fight against the Taliban. This is key, as supposedly the Taliban was told to finish off the fight with the Northern Alliance or else by quasi-diplomats from American Oil Companies. They couldn’t complete the pipeline while the Northern Alliance held that land. The Taliban informed Bin Laden of the threat, who then decided to strike first.

This is why we won’t invade Yemen. Even if lets say every “terrorist” in Iraq and Afghanistan suddenly picks up and moves to Yemen, we still won’t bother with them. In the end, lets be serious, even if we pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan they aren’t going to suddenly “take the fight to America”. Sure, they might get the occasional nutjob like this flight, but there’s nothing you can do about those people. We just need to hire real security for our airports and not the dredges of society who are yelling at your grandma about her lipstick container. We need to stop raping and pillaging countries at will like its our right. Stop supporting right wing dictators because its good for business. This’ll never happen though. Just as we didn’t invade Saudi Arabia, UAE or Egypt, we won’t invade Yemen. We don’t fight this supposed War On Terror where it makes sense, we fight it where it makes our people rich.

On Wrestling and Websites

By , March 6, 2009 1:38 am

Alright, so the original plan was to do three articles on the weekend that I wrote the review for The Wrestler, and they were all going to be about wrestling. Unfortunately I am stuck in the late 90s when it comes to websites and such and I managed to screw up. This blog has gone down twice cause I have no clue what I’m doing. I’m sorry about the downtime and I am going to try my best not to have anymore. When I first did websites I was a genius and I had to use notepad and line out the tables with a calculator. The advances since then amaze me.

So one of my favorite wrestling related stories was the infamous Riot at Sportsfest with ECW. This is infamous because Big Dick Dudley got arrested and got stuck on Staten Island for a few days. Basically what happened was that Gertner was in the ring rilling up the fans for about 15 minutes. It was probably worse then the time they were at the Hammerstein Ballroom and people started jumping down from the second floor to attack the ring. So finally the Dudleys come down to the ring and the place is going crazy. Bubba and D-Von stay in the middle of the aisle and head straight down to the ring. Big Dick starts going from side to side of the aisle to intimidate fans. Well one of my friends starts screaming in Big Dicks face and yelling at him and Big Dick does nothing. So in a moment of genius my buddy (considering he was 15 years old and 120 pounds soaking wet) Decides to push the guy in front of him into Big Dick. The guy bumps Dick, Dick turns around and flat out punches the guy sending him down. Dick knows my buddy had something to do with it but now the first guys buddy is going after Dick. As the other Dudleys come to the rescue of Big Dick the place just starts going crazy and sets off a chain reaction. Somehow we escaped with nothing going wrong other then getting some of the thrown soda and beer on us. If you google “Big Dick Dudley Arrested” it actually comes up on Google Books for Rise and Fall of ECW. Of course its called “The Sportsplex in Staten Island” but anyone that grew up in the area remembers Sportsfest. I could see it halfway across the island from Farrell HS.

When I lived with a crazy girl in Jersey, the family would get together and there was always too many people in too small of a space. Well by coincidence one day I put in Wrestling DVDs from ECW and Japan and the kids loved them. They were the most hardcore insane matches possible and as long as the kids new one of the wrestlers they’d watch them. The parents didn’t complain because the kids shutup and stopped fighting. Well one family get together we’re watching an old ECW match and 911 comes to the ring. Well it just so happened that two of crazy girl’s uncles were bouncers at a bar for some spare cash on the weekend. They have me pause it and tell me “We know him, he comes to our bar all the time!”. They then told me a story about how he got in a fight and totally destroyed someone at the bar. The bar owner wanted them to toss 911 from the bar. Now these two were in shape, one was a contract carpenter and the other was a contract painter, but they weren’t big by any definition of the word. So they refuse to try to remove 911 from the bar and since their boss wants them to do something about the fight they decide to toss the already beaten guy from the bar.

Yea, my run in with wrestlers isn’t that intresting. I almost boogie boarded into Donald Trump as a kid though.
