Wow, I really can’t believe I started this two years ago. The amusing thing is that I didn’t know what I was going to write about back then, and still don’t know what I’m going to write about tomorrow. I wish I was at post 300, but between injuries and periods of no inspiration, stuff just doesn’t work out. It also didn’t help that hits increased while I wasn’t posting for a period last year.

This though is a celebration. First off, as you’ve seen I’ve added a toolbar to the blog. I’ve long been against them, but the formatting of the buttons below blog posts was so bad something had to be done. The toolbar really doesn’t take up enough room to be a pain, it allows translations and you can even visit the new Facebook page or check my twitter feed. Tell your friends that you Like the blog rated the 12 Millionth popular website on the web. That’s an improvement of 6 million from when I started! I do still check the graveyard that is the Forum, believe it or not!

As part of the celebration I wanted to thank/mention a bunch of people who have just been unbelievably awesome during these last two years. First off my forever great roomie for just putting up with me. Dominik of Lighthouse Hockey, not only does he do a great job at LHH, he also does a great job editing my posts so I make more sense. It should come as no surprise that as traffic has increased at LHH, I’ve seen traffic increase here. Dom’s so insane he actually saw this blog before recruiting me to write! Thanks to everyone that’s commented, especially Seth who has been quite prolific posting on my political writings.

I’d also like to thank some great people in general in my life. I have a bunch of great friends, especially Cate who does a great job keeping me grounded and telling me when I’m being stupid. There’s Heather who helps keep me sane by getting me out of here occasionally. Alex, who not only is great at digging up yahoo stories for facebook, but is a great opponent in For The People. One of my all time favorite people, Julia, who knows how crazy I am and still talks to me. Despite having the safety of being on a different coast. There’s also Kim from Sapphire Shots Photography who has known me far too long to still be putting up with me.

There’s also some of my favorite online people/blogs. Seventh Woman/Dee is not only a great blogger for the Isles, but her twitter is one of the reasons to join twitter. Staying on the Islanders, wanted to point people towards the NHL Arena Islanders forum. I wouldn’t be that interested in it, if not for the excellent job The Metal Chick does running it. I also can’t forget the great Bruce who works on everything at wargameroom.com. He spreads wargame joy to all the good little boys and girls of the internet.Last but not least, one of my favorite geeks from boardgamegeek, SubtlyArtistic who is always around the BGG chat. Almost always around and a fun conversation.

Some of my favorite places around the web are Lordkat and X-Entertainment. Gotta promote other Staten Islanders who are crazy enough to stay on the Island. In the political view of things there’s Political Irony and Sadly No! two great liberal leaning blogs poking fun at main stream media. I missed it among some of my sports blogs, but Gang Green Nation is really well done for fans of the Jets.
