Fanboys are Still Idiots

By , February 13, 2012 6:27 am

So people don’t seem to realize that when you link to my posts, I can tell where you came from. So when I suddenly see a months old story getting 20+ hits in a day, it tends to get my interest. Seems like some of Spoony’s (spoonyexperiment.com) fanboys found my last post and decided to attack me. For the longest time I didn’t have an account at his forum because I believe if you want people to join a forum, you should let them lurk. But screw it, I need to get screenshots myself. So here we go into the insanity:

I should have edited the first guy out, and just screencapped everyone but him. But here’s part of the point I always make. The only reason these guys are fans of Spoony is because they want to become famous too. They want to grab onto his coattails and hold on tight. I mean the guy is so desperate for any attention that he wants a site that gets 100 hits at best a day to make fun of him. Well here you go, I’m your new messiah.

Let’s see if we can make this point so even simple minded idiots could understand. A troll is not just “Someone on the internet who makes fun of other people”, I made my video to point out how ridiculous the premise of their video was to begin with. So that in a way might be mocking someone, but the point being that mocking someone is not always trolling. On the internet today whenever someone has a different sense of humor or points out that people are taking something too seriously, it’s called trolling. Different opinion then everyone else? trolling.

Oh yes, and obviously it’s my fault that your talking about me. Don’t blame the attention whore who decided to link to me and demanded to be mentioned in a post. I post stupid videos all the time, and I’m shocked when anyone watches them. If your going to take anything I post seriously, then it’s your own fault.

Also, it’s a harp you dumbass. Which amazes me because you even go so far as to call me Bard… What else would a bard play?

Your Fans Might be Idiots

If you go by the name Spoony on the internet.

Look, I think it’s time to be straight with the guy. These sycophants you have aren’t helping whatever might be wrong with your mental state. You want to get better? Go out, get a real job, stopping eating shit food and maybe get a little sunlight on a daily basis. Oh and stop feeling bad for yourself because your girlfriend broke up with you. I don’t know if you have any friends who actually care, but if you did that’s what they’d tell you.

Instead these sycophants go out and make a get well soon video, cause they can’t go two seconds without content. Or it’s because sucking up to internet celebrities will make you famous, one day, one day…

So I decided to parody them in my own way, with best wishes to Charlie Brooker wannabe and hipster, Jordan. Apparently the Spoony fans found it, cause someone gave me these screencaps of their conversation in the forums. I refuse to join any forum I can’t lurk first. So here’s my replies to their stupidity:

Obviously you got served, because I throw down in youtube videos like that!

Burt Reynolds is the local idiot moderator. That guy that you piss and shit on all day in real life, but who is a tyrant to no end on the one message board you hang out at. Good to know that Spoony was a no one until I mocked him.

I like the guy calling me fat, while ignoring the fact that Spoony’s been ballooning up like Violet Beuragaurd these last two years. SURPRISE FAT GUY!

Why People have stopped paying for Cable

By , February 28, 2011 2:06 am

I rant and rave about how bad TV has gotten, how all the channels are all the same and so on. But tonight took the cake for it. I can’t believe people even pay for Cable anymore, just buy/rent/download shows on DVD. The stupidity just ceases to amaze. Why  oh why are some of these programs/shows/movies not just on TV, but on the networks they are on. Tonight it was just mind numbingly insane. I wanted to take my TV and throw it out the window.

First stop: History Channel. I should have known it was going to be a bad night. Larry the Cable Guy (yes, Larry The Cable Guy was on History Channel) talking with Rodeo clowns about how valuable Bull Riders are to Cowboys and American History. I already wanted to throw the TV out the window but I decided to keep surfing and somehow it didn’t get better.

Second Stop: ABC Family, Not nearly as bad but Meet The Parents? I mean I’m not expecting it to be sugarpuff shows or whatever but Meet The Parents should have been R Rated. It just doesn’t strike me as much of a family movie. I could think of hundreds of movies with a better family theme. Hell I’d take the Amazing Tennenbaums to be more of a family movie then Meet the Parents.

Third Stop: American Movie Classics: Now it’s come to my attention that much like MTV is no longer Music Television, American Movie Classics is just AMC. Even so, maybe they can do some quality control and stick to the newer classics. A few weeks ago I saw Wild Wild West, but tonight it was Pearl Harbor. One of the biggest recent busts in memory and an affront to actual history. Oh and it had almost nothing to do with Pearl Harbor. There was so much wrong with this movie I don’t feel like covering it all. Needless to say you might loosely make a debate for Wild Wild West (it made a profit) as a “New Classic” but Pearl Harbor?

Fourth Stop: Comedy Central, no idea what the name of the movie actually was, but it starred Dane Cooke trying to be funny in a movie. He was taking a girl on a date. For the date he took her to a religious themed pizzeria. I’m not offended because it was religious themed (including cross pizzas) but instead it was so dumb that it just made a bad movie worse. I didn’t make it much more then 10 minutes into the film, but let’s be serious. It’s a Dane Cooke movie on Comedy Central when everyone with half a brain knows Dane Cook isn’t funny.

If it wasn’t for the fact that I don’t pay for my cable, I would have gotten rid of it as a complete waste of money. The only channel I really need is VS for the NHL Playoffs. Beyond that every single channel is a complete ripoff. The sad thing is that people get convinced to buy more and more channels hoping for better, but this is as good as its going to get. The basic channels are pretty much the bread and butter. Not only that, but I found an interesting reason that all these channels are looking the same. Advertisers are unwilling to buy ads unless it will be seen by specific age groups. So now advertisers are driving content on TV. For joy!

Behind Enemy Lines Insanely Dumb

By , November 24, 2010 12:44 am

Looking at the Press release for this one, I’m not sure who to blame. It’s either an original series by Yahoo! sponsored by Bud Light, or a Bud Light commercial on Yahoo! Sports. Either way it’s about as dumb and lowest common denominator as it can come. Two guys pretend to be fans from a team that is facing their rivals that week. They proceed to “invade” the home teams turf. For example when the Pats and Colts played, they showed up in Colt outfits and caused trouble in  Boston.

I almost don’t want to give them the link and the three people who will actually follow through from here to there, but for those of you who are masochists here you go.

The problem is that it is so convoluted. It’s the same two guys every week, it’s obvious that the guys don’t care about whatever team they are dressed as. The other problem is that they have a professional team with them. This means a television crew, probably security too, making sure that no one would really attack these guys. My one ex had an Uncle who was a Dolphins fan in North Jersey. So of course he dressed up the kids in Dolphins stuff and brought them to a Jets – Dolphins game in the Meadowlands. Of course they had to leave early sometime in the 3rd Quarter after people were spitting and pouring beer on them and threatening to attack them. The aunt of course blamed the fans, not the fact that they showed up wearing the other teams stuff. So these two guys would probably be skinned alive if they went into a stadium without protection and pulled any of this stuff.

But the ones I’ve seen were incredibly dumb. They were beyond stupid. In Pittsburgh, fans going to the game actually take a barge across the river to the game. Well these guys decided to pull up alongside the barge in a speedboat dressed in Baltimore Ravens gear and flags. They taunted the fans with a megaphone, while the fans were angry. This went on for a good 2 minutes before I finally stopped watching it. There was almost no point to the whole thing. It was a joke without a punchline.

They show up to this “Worlds Biggest Pats Fan” house to pretend to interview them. Meanwhile they had one of their members dressed up as a Colts fan (it was Pats Vs Colts) causing trouble around the house. Meanwhile the woman of the house is wearing a sweater which says I Hate Peyton Manning. I just don’t have words for it at all. It almost makes What If? On Spike TV seem like a legit program.

I just get annoyed when stuff plays down to football fans. There are an awful lot of very bright football fans around. There’s so much going wrong that you can’t suspend your disbelief. I don’t know why the segments exist, as they don’t specifically promote Bud Lite, but they are created by Yahoo! to do what exactly? I can’t see anyone with half a brain recommending his friends to check these videos out. Even if you are a complete idiot, your friends would probably yell at you for wasting five minutes of their time with it.

In the end it’s either an excuse for Yahoo to get a little extra advertising money, or, please feel free to give your answer in the comments, I am dumbfounded by this practice in futility.
